Next month Microsoft will release the next chapter of Windows (Windows 10) and what makes it even more appealing is that it will be 100% Free for existing Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 users to upgrade to. You will be prompted by an automatic notification in your windows system tray taskbar to register for your free copy. (Near the date and time in the bottom right corner of your taskbar)

Should i register for a free upgrade?
YES, please register for future upgrade and once you are correctly setup then you can download the Windows 10 system for free.

Should I upgrade my POS PC with Windows 10?
NO.  Do not upgrade as PC's with Epson printer, integrated EFTPOS, and Label printing PC's WILL STOP WORKING unless you take actions below.

Can I upgrade other PC's:
YES. All other PC's are OK to register and once Windows 10 is available, you can download the upgrade.

ClickPOS relies on current functions known as ActiveX controls which will be removed from the new Windows 10 operating system. If you upgrade, then you will no longer be able to Print receipts, cashdrawer will not open or integrate to EFTPOS.

Microsoft's Project Spartan (Soon to be named Microsoft Edge) will be replacing Microsofts current browser 'Internet Explorer'. At the given time we are unsure if this will be the case upon launch of Windows 10 or will be introduced at a later date.

Currently the only solution is to change the Epson printers to the new Epson Intelligent printers. The intelligent range works over IP address which is being promoted by the industry.

If you wish to invest in these printers please order via Order POS hardware   and select EPSON TM-T82I-INTELLIGENT.

RECYCLING CURRENT EPSON printers:
The only way to continue using the existing printers is to buy only one of the intelligent printer and attach all printers to it. The printers require a LAN network at your premise. Or you may change all your printers and install new intelligent ones. You will require an IT person to configure the setup, We will provide guidance on ClickPOS support site or email
Help@clickpos.com

We are working towards a solution for the existing printers to replace the OPOS drivers, we will notify you once a solution is available
